The Member of Parliament for Akatsi South, Bernard Ahiafor, has donated two sets of jerseys and two sets of socks to the Akatsi South Education Directorate in support of the municipality’s participation in the upcoming Inter-District Sports Festival.
The items were presented on behalf of the MP by his Special Aide, Mr. Philip Sabah, to the Akatsi South Education Directorate.
The Inter-District Sports Festival is scheduled to take place from Sunday, August 16, to Friday, August 21, 2026, with Akatsi South serving as the host municipality.
The donation is expected to complement efforts by the Education Directorate and participating schools to adequately prepare young athletes for the competition.
The gesture further underscores the MP’s commitment to supporting education, sports and youth development in the Akatsi South Constituency.
The Inter-District Sports Festival is expected to bring together young athletes from various districts to compete in different sporting disciplines while promoting talent development, discipline and unity among students.
The support from the MP is therefore seen as a timely intervention as Akatsi South prepares to host the festival and showcase its sporting potential.
