Black Stars midfielder Kwasi Sibo has revealed that his family is urging him to continue his career in Saudi Arabia despite attracting interest from clubs in England and Germany following his departure from Real Oviedo.
The 28-year-old is currently a free agent after his contract with Spanish side Real Oviedo expired, leaving him with several options ahead of the new season.
Sibo enhanced his reputation with impressive performances for Ghana at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he formed a solid midfield partnership with Thomas Partey. The Black Stars reached the Round of 32 before their campaign ended with a defeat to Colombia.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Lawson TV, the midfielder disclosed that he has received offers from clubs in England, Germany and Saudi Arabia, but his family is strongly backing a move to the Saudi Pro League.
“So far I have had offers from England, Germany, and Saudi Arabia as well. My family wants me to go to Saudi; they don’t want to hear about the other countries. One of my relatives is very keen about it,” Sibo said.
According to Sibo, his relatives believe a move to Saudi Arabia would be the best option for the next stage of his career, with one family member particularly enthusiastic about the prospect.
Despite his family’s preference, the Ghana international says he is still evaluating all available offers before making a final decision on his future.
Sibo has been linked with several clubs, including English Championship side Hull City, Greek outfit PAOK, and Saudi Pro League club Al Qadsiah, among other interested teams.
