National Cathedral a misplaced priority — Benjamin Kofi Quashie

Benjamin Kofi Quashie, the chairman of the NDC Council of Elders for NDC South Africa, has described the construction of the National Cathedral as a misplaced priority.

He believes despite the noble intentions behind the plan, there shouldn’t be a national cathedral project at this time looking at Ghana’s economic difficulties.

“Naturally at this time, I will agree with you and many other critics that when you look at the economy and things that had to be destroyed other than the cathedral may come on, we can say that it is definitely not a priority the government must work hard to fix the economy,” Benjamin Kofi Quashie said on Adwenekasa on Original 91.9 FM.

The cathedral has raised concerns among some Ghanaians especially the Minority in Parliament.

There has been a huge public outcry over the government’s decision to facilitate the building a national cathedral.
