Nations FC Coach Kassim Ocansey Mingle has expressed his concerns about the lack of a juvenile team and the development of young players at the club.
Ocansey Mingle believes that nurturing talent at the juvenile or colts level is essential for the overall growth and sustainability of any football club.
In a recent interview with King Kaninja on Original 91.9 FM, he pointed out that this lack of a youth setup poses a significant challenge for Nations FC.
“Our club doesn’t have a juvenile team to feed the main team. This is a major setback. Before the start of the season, you need to develop the players. Without a strong youth setup, it’s difficult to produce quality players for the senior team,” he said.
Despite this challenge, Coach Mingle has led Nations FC to impressive results in the Ghana Premier League, with the team currently sitting in second place with 19 points, just one point behind leaders Bibiani GoldStars.
This achievement highlights Mingle’s ability to maximize the potential of his current squad, but he remains steadfast in his belief that a robust juvenile team is vital for the club’s future success.
