NDC delegates involved in accident

Some members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have been involved in an accident in Doli, a farming community near Bole, in the Savannah Region.

The accident occurred on Sunday, December 18.

The NDC members were en route to Wa in the Upper West Region of Ghana

The members believed to be delegates of the umbrella party were returning from the NDC National Delegates Congress which happened on Saturday, December 17, 2022, in Accra when the vehicle veered off the road.

No casualties were recorded.

Eyewitnesses say the VIP-branded bus they were travelling with somersaulted in the process.

Meanwhile, at the National Delegates Congress, the immediate past General Secretary Johnson Asiedu Nketia toppled Samuel Ofosu Ampofo to become the party’s National Chairman.

Sammy Gyamfi who was vying for the National Communications Officer position went uncontested.

Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey defeated Dr. Peter Boamah Otukunor, who served as Mr. Nketia’s Deputy, and Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, a former Sports Minister to become NDC’s new General Secretary.
