NDC Eastern Regional Chairman denies allegations of instigating attack

The Eastern Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Ing. Dr. Mark-Oliver Kevor, has denied allegations that he instigated an attack on one of his regional executives, Mr. David Dakudzi, over the chairmanship race.

Ing. Dr. Kevor described the allegations as “entirely false” and “deeply unfortunate and disappointing.”

He explained that he was informed of an incident involving Mr. Dakudzi in late February, where he was reportedly assaulted at a mining site.

“I made several efforts to contact David directly but was unsuccessful. I then reached out to two of his close associates… who confirmed the incident but were clear that it had nothing to do with the Regional Minister or myself,” Ing. Dr. Kevor stated.

He emphasized that he has never been involved in any act of violence or intimidation against Mr. Dakudzi and has no association with any Galamsey Task Force or National Security operatives in this context.

“Our great party must remain anchored in its values of unity, democracy, and fairness,” Ing. Dr. Kevor stressed, urging party members to reject the politics of misinformation and division.

He added that anyone is entitled to contest future elections, but it must be done with integrity, honesty, and a commitment to strengthening the party.
