Moses Foh-Amoaning, the executive secretary of the National Coalition for Proper Human Sexual Rights and Family Values, has expressed his best wishes to all seven members of parliament who are openly supporting the Bill for the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Family Values in the upcoming parliamentary session in 2021.
In order to continue their virtuous deeds, he said he is openly praying for their election to the House of Representatives and their retention in their respective constituencies.
“In order to ensure that these honorable members of parliament remain in office while guiding the passage of this crucial Bill, we ask all delegates within their respective districts to cast a large number of votes in their favor,”Moses Foh Amoaning told Kwaku Owusu Adjei(Patoo) on Adwenekasa on Accra-based Original FM 91.9.
“Samuel Nartey George, MP, Ningo-Prampram Constituency, is one of our brave national heroes in the NDC. Emmanuel K. Bedzrah, Member of Parliament for Ho West South Dayi Constituency MP Rockson-Nelson Dafeamkpor Representative for Krachi East, Helen Adjoa Ntoso,Rita Naa Odoley Sowah, Dela Sowah, and Alhassan S. Suhuyini are members of parliament from the La Dadekotopon and Kpando constituencies, respectively.
The Constitutional, Legal, and Parliamentary Affairs Committee has laid before Parliament the report on the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and the Ghanaian Family Values Bill, 2021.
The bill seeks to criminalize LGBTQ activities by establishing proper human sexual rights and Ghanaian family values, outlawing LGBT-related activities, and protecting and supporting children.
The private members’ bill is being championed by eight members of Parliament, led by Ningo-Prampram MP, Samuel Nartey George.
