NDC Primaries: Human Forces Working Against Sam George Over His Anti-LGBTQ Advocacy – NPP Man

Former Head of the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit of the Forestry Commission, Charles Owusu has disclosed that there is a grand scheme to unseat the Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Samuel Nartey George for his advocacy against homosexuality.

According to the NPP Man, what he describes as “human forces” are people who are unhappy with the MP’s advocacy and unflinching commitment to getting the Anti-Gay Bill passed into law.

Charles Owusu revealed that these forces have entered the Ningo Prampram Constituency ahead of the NDC primaries to ensure that Sam George is defeated.

Speaking on Accra-based Peace FM, Charles Owusu made a passionate appeal to the delegates in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to retain Sam George as a Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency.

Admitting that he does not know Sam George on a personal level, he noted that the incumbent MP is leading a very important crusade in Parliament that shouldn’t be truncated.

“I have seen that some forces have entered his constituency trying to remove him” but “vote for Sam George,” he urged.

A total of 1,675 delegates are expected to vote in the NDC primaries in the Ningo-Prampram constituency to either retain the incumbent or vote for a new Parliamentary candidate.

The contest is between Sam Nartey George, the two-term incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), and Michael Kwetey Nartey, a former Constituency Chairman of the party.

The two contested for the MP candidature in a fierce contest in 2019, during which the incumbent MP won the primaries with seven votes and subsequently kept the seat in the 2020 general elections.
