NDC Proforum to hold second Diaspora Reset Engagement Conference in Paris

The Professionals Forum of the National Democratic Congress (NDC Proforum) is set to hold the second Diaspora Reset Engagement Conference, DREC 2.0, in Paris, France, from November 20 to 22, 2026.

The conference, being organised under the auspices of the NDC Proforum France and UK/Ireland chapters in collaboration with the International Relations Directorate, will be held under the theme: “Beyond the Reset: Harnessing Global Diaspora Expertise to Build a Resilient, Inclusive and Prosperous Ghana.”

DREC 2.0 builds on the first conference held in Birmingham, United Kingdom, in 2025, which brought together professionals, academics, entrepreneurs, policymakers and members of the Ghanaian diaspora to explore investment, research, knowledge-sharing and collaboration for Ghana’s development.

The 2026 edition is expected to feature keynote presentations and expert panel discussions focusing on economic development, governance, healthcare, education, technology and investment.
The organisers say the conference will also create opportunities for professional and business networking among participants.

According to the NDC Proforum, the knowledge, expertise, skills and resources of Ghanaians living abroad remain important to Ghana’s development.
The conference is therefore expected to provide a platform for participants to exchange ideas, identify opportunities and develop policy proposals aimed at supporting national development.

The NDC Proforum has invited Ghanaian professionals in the diaspora and other stakeholders interested in constructive diaspora engagement to participate in the three-day conference.
