NDC to elect flagbearer, parliamentary candidates on May 13

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it will hold its conference to elect its flagbearer and parliamentary candidates for the December 2024 general elections on May 13.

The announcement was made by the General Secretary of the party, Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey at the party headquarters in Accra on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Parliamentary candidates will pick a form at a cost of GH¢5,000.00, and pay a non-refundable filing fee of GH¢40,000.00 which is non-refundable.

Forms for presidential candidates cost GH30,000.00, and a filing fee of GH500,000.00 is not refundable.

Fifi Kwetey said the nomination period will be open from February 22 until February 24, 2023.

The filing fee for women and people with disabilities has been cut in half.

Form submission and filing are scheduled for March 20–22, 2023.

Additionally, vetting is planned to take place from March 27 to March 29, 2023.

During this time, appeals will be heard from March 30 through April 6, 2023.
