NDC workshop was resourceful, useful – Dzifa Tegah praises party leaders

A member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communication team, Dzifa Tegah, has described the training course organized by the leaders of the party as highly resourceful and useful for communicators.

She said it was a moment to reflect on the performance of the party, plan and strategize for the future.

The NDC scribe was narrating events that transpired at the party’s three-day workshop held at Ho in the Volta Region.

Sharing her experience on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana on Monday, July 5, 2021, Dzifa Tegah emphasized that the workshop was a moment to converge as a party to discuss matters of concern that hitherto due to their heavy schedule could hardly make time for.

“It was training for communicators, regional communicators, and national communication team members. You realize that many times because we all come here to represent our parties we hardly ever have time to converge and discuss the things that we need to discuss as communicators. We discussed trending matters, how to handle issues, and things that have happened in the past, and their effect on the previous election. How well we did and everything and how we going to look forward to the next election,” she stated.

She noted that the 2024 general election is not far-fetched and that it was important for party members to starting planning for the event now.

“You know we are not last-minute people so even though we are looking ahead of 2024, we don’t think 2021 is too soon to look ahead. So all these were part of our discussions or part of our programs that we had and I must say it was very wonderful. Yes, it was very good,” she noted.

Dzifa Tegah expressed it was noteworthy that public relations activities of the party have improved in the last few years stating that “It has been very good and we even realize that people have been more indulging. People have come on board to even see the female side and I can even commend the NPP for that because you see the female part of the communication bureau also very active and very regular on TV channels” she added.

She indicated that the opposition NDC has the capacity to grow and become better adding “We aim to be at the highest level. So we definitely as we were commending ourselves, we also have to look at how we are going to be better next elections.”

She explained that leading communicators in the party provided mentorship during the workshop, urging the younger ones to invest in their profession and become the best at what they do.”
