A National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate, Amenorpe Philibert Fummey, has filed a motion at the High Court seeking an interlocutory injunction to restrain the Electoral Commission from collating and declaring the parliamentary election results for the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency.
According to court documents available to Metro TV, Amenorpe Fummey is challenging the election results, citing irregularities.
In his affidavit, Amenorpe Fummey states that he “contested the 7th December Parliamentary Elections for the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency as the Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress.”
Amenorpe Fummey’s lawyers have prayed the court to grant an order for Interlocutory Injunction “to restrain the Defendants/Respondents, their assigns, agents, privies, servants, employees, workmen and any other person acting on their behalf from collating and declaring the parliamentary election results for the Nsawam Adoagyiri Constituency pending the final determination of this suit.”
The court has been asked to move the motion on December 13, 2024.
