New NDC executives ready to sacrifice our lives to free Ghanaians – Asiedu Nketia

The National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) says the newly elected executives are keen to rescue Ghanaians from the present predicament.

This, to the immediate past General Secretary of the NDC, will include the executives doing anything within their might and to the extent of putting their lives on the line to make their dream a reality

General Mosquito as he is fondly called divulged in his victory speech at the National Delegates Congress on Sunday, December 18, 2022.

“We believe that it is our time to continue the fight to win the second independence of Ghana,” he noted.

He further mentioned that the new NDC executives are prepared to sacrifice everything for the collective good of the party and by extension Ghana.

“We know the path will not be smooth but we will stand up to the challenge and we are prepared to sacrifice everything and I mean everything including our lives to make sure this country is delivered,” he said.

On Saturday, December 17, the party held its 10th National Delegates Congress to choose its new executives.

For the activity, party representatives gathered at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The exercise involved 9,200 delegates from the 276 constituencies in the country.

Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia ultimately took home the title of National Chairman after the competition.

Other winners at the congress include Fiifi Kwetey emerging as the party’s General Secretary, and Joseph Yammin winning the National Organizer position, among others.
