A 25-year-old Nigerian prisoner has escaped from a custodial transport van in the Plumstead area of south-east London, prompting a police manhunt.
Temitope Segun was being transported when he reportedly fled the vehicle. Details of how the escape happened have not yet been confirmed by authorities.
Police said Segun was last seen wearing a black jacket, black trousers and black trainers at the time of the escape.
Officers have launched an urgent search operation to locate and arrest him. The public has been advised to report any sightings and not to approach him.
