A Nigerian woman working as a commercial sex worker in Sekondi has reported an alleged assault by a client following a dispute over payment.
The woman, identified as Nancy, told police that the incident occurred after the client paid her GH¢50 and took her to his home for sexual services. She said that after the service was rendered, the man unexpectedly demanded a refund.
Nancy said she refused the request, explaining that the service had already been provided and the payment could not be returned. According to her, the disagreement quickly escalated.
She alleged that the man attacked her and attempted to seize her mobile phone during the confrontation. She sustained injuries in the process.
Nancy said she has since reported the matter to the Sekondi Police Station. Police have issued her a medical form to seek treatment and document her injuries as part of ongoing investigations.
Authorities have not yet commented on the allegations, but investigations into the incident are ongoing.
