NPP accuses NDC of destroying its billboards in Awutu Senya West

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Awutu Senya West Constituency has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of defacing and destroying billboards of its parliamentary candidate, Eugene Bentum Arhin, and presidential candidate, Mahamudu Bawumia.

According to the NPP, billboards in about 10 communities, including Bontrase, Nyarkokwaa, Amontrom, Pobikwaa, and Bawjiase, have been destroyed.

The party claims that only the NDC is suspected to be behind the destruction, as all billboards of the NDC’s parliamentary and presidential candidates, Gizella Tetteh Agbotui and John Dramani Mahama, remain intact in the same area.

The NPP has vowed to take measures to protect its billboards and warned that any perpetrator caught will be severely dealt with.

However, the NDC has denied any wrongdoing, with the Constituency Communications Officer, Cassius Ottoo Larbie, suggesting that the move may be orchestrated by one of the three factions within the NPP.

The NDC says it is focused on its campaign to retain the parliamentary seat and win the presidential elections.
