Gomoa Central MP-elect Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus has disclosed that both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are trying to win him over to their caucus in the 9th Parliament.
According to A Plus, the NPP has made him an offer, which includes a commitment not to contest the Gomoa Central parliamentary seat in the 2028 election.
“The NPP, led by Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, has officially approached me to discuss aligning with them in Parliament. Their proposal includes several intriguing agreements, such as a commitment that they will not contest the Gomoa Central parliamentary seat in the 2028 election,” A Plus revealed on Facebook.
However, A Plus says his heart belongs to the NDC, with whom he has a meeting scheduled. “Deep down, my heart leans toward the NDC,” he said.
A Plus won the Gomoa Central seat as an independent candidate, polling 14,244 votes to defeat the incumbent MP, Naana Eyiah Quansah.
