Flagbearer of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has dismissed opinion polls allegedly sponsored by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), labeling them as “fake” and lacking methodology.
According to him, the governing party is championing such fake polls to counter predictions of the NDC victory in the upcoming December 7 general elections.
“Credible opinion polls have predicted that NDC is going to win, and so because of that, the NPP and government have started publishing fake opinion polls,” Mahama said.
He cited credible institutions, including Economic Intelligence Units (EIU)and global info analytics, as predicting an NDC victory.
Mahama emphasized, “Everything indicates that NDC is going to win the election of 7th December 2024.”
The former president urged NDC supporters to remain vigilant and protect every vote.
“We must not be complacent… We’re not going to select just two polling agents; all of us are going to be polling agents.”
He called on supporters to stay awake from December 7 to 9, ensuring every vote is counted before the Electoral Commissioner declares the results.
Mahama further expressed confidence in the NDC’s chances of returning to the Jubilee House.
“Every region I have been to has given us the assurance that they are going to change the government on 7th December 2024 and bring the NDC back.”
