NPP donates GH₵10k to Christian Atsu’s family

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has presented a GH10,000 cash donation to the family of the late Christian Atsu.

The donation was presented on behalf of the party by its leadership.

The NPP General Secretary, Justin Kodua, as well as the party’s National Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye, Nasara Coordinator, Aziz Haruna Futah, and other officials, expressed condolences to the late footballer’s family.

The remains of Christian Atsu, a former Ghana international player who perished in a terrible earthquake in Turkey, arrived on Sunday.

A 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck Turkey and Syria, killing more than 44,000 people in both countries on February 6.

Meanwhile, former Black Stars players visited the grieving family on Tuesday.

The delegation led by Stephan Appiah also includes Asamoah Gyan, Baffour Gyan, and Emmanuel Agyemang Badu.

Also, Sulley Muntari, and Haminu Dramani, were part of the delegation that visited the family to express their condolences.

The players donated packs of water to the family as a form of support and signed a book of condolence opened in memory of the 31-year-old.
