A member of the communication team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Benedicta Yayra Fosu-Mensah, says the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has been hijacked by some ethnic group of people thereby relegating some deserving people like Alan Kyerematen, a presidential candidate hopeful who withdrew from the race citing biases against him.
Speaking on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana, Dr. Benedicta Yayra Fosu-Mensah said the irreconcilable crack in the NPP and the unfair treatment meted out to some individuals in the party exposes its lawlessness and dictatorship.
“Alan Kyerematen having stepped down is just an indication of the level of which the party has undermined him and also shows the level of cracks within the party, I know that within the party, some individuals have hijacked the party, and there are a number of times that these issues have come up. The Akyem mafias have taken over the party while relegating some individuals to the background,” she noted on Monday, September 18.
The NDC communication team member also extended an invitation to Alan Kyerematen to join the NDC because his contributions are unappreciated in the NPP.
She added that contrary to the mandate of every government to improve the lives of its people, the NPP has come to totally destroy.
“I would say instead of joining Ivor Greenstreet, he should rather come and join the NDC, so that we will uproot the elephant, and show them the path to the bush because Ghanaians are tired of them, they have plunged us into a ditch, they’ve made our lives miserable,” she argued.
