NPP Holds Regional Executive Elections Today as Party Reorganises Ahead of 2028
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is holding its regional executive elections today, Saturday, August 15, 2026, as the party advances its internal reorganisation ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The elections will allow delegates across the regions to elect executives who will oversee the party’s activities and strengthen its structures at the regional level.
The exercise forms part of the NPP’s broader internal elections, which began with polling station and constituency-level elections. The regional polls are expected to play a key role in consolidating the party’s grassroots organisation and preparing it for the next general election.
The party has deployed national representatives to the various regions to supervise the elections and ensure that the exercise is conducted in accordance with its approved electoral guidelines.
The representatives are expected to promote transparency, fairness and discipline throughout the process. They will also submit reports on the conduct of the elections, including any irregularities recorded during the exercise.
