The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has scheduled 3 October 2026 for its national executive elections, with voting set to take place in Kumasi.
The timetable was announced by the committee chaired by Frederick Opare Ansah as the party begins preparations to elect its next crop of national officers.
According to the timetable, nominations will open on 17th August and close on 22nd August 2026. Aspirants who successfully obtain the forms will then have from 23 to 27th August to submit their completed nomination documents.
Vetting of prospective candidates will take place from 31st August to 3 September, with the results expected to be published on 5th September.
Candidates who wish to challenge the outcome of the vetting process will have 6 and 7 September to file their appeals.
The National Council and National Executive Committee are expected to meet on 10th September to finalise the process, after which the official Notice of Poll will be issued on 14th September.
The elections will then be held on 3rd October in Kumasi.
The party has also announced the fees for obtaining nomination forms for the various positions.
A form for the National Chairman position will cost GH¢50,000, while candidates for the three Vice Chairperson positions will pay GH¢30,000.
The General Secretary position has a nomination fee of GH¢25,000, while forms for the other national executive positions will cost GH¢10,000 each.
Candidates seeking positions in the party’s special wings, namely Nasara, Women and Youth, will pay GH¢8,000 for their forms.
The timetable gives prospective aspirants a clear schedule as the NPP moves towards the election of its national leadership in October.
