Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Majority Chief Whip in Parliament and the Member for Nsawam Adoagyiri, has offered to assist a talented but financially strapped WASSCE student from the Nsawam municipality through the university.
His extension of benevolence comes following a social media post seeking philanthropists to come to the student’s aid due to his parent’s inability to afford the fees.
The 18-year-old pupil, Gabriel Kwaku Pobi, is a product of the government’s flagship Free Senior High School policy.
In 2022, he graduated from St. Peters Senior High School in Nkwatia, Eastern Region, with “7As” and a “B” in General Science.
Kwaku Pobi was his year’s overall top WASSCE candidate in the Nsawam municipality..
Despite his financial limitations, he has already received admission offers from Ghana’s leading colleges, the University of Ghana and Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), to study electrical engineering and pharmacy, respectively.
Gabriel will begin attending school at the beginning of the following academic year thanks to Annoh-prompt Dompreh’s assistance.
