Nsoatreman FC official Kudus Bashiu banned for a year following misconduct in Asante Kotoko match

Nsoatreman FC official Kudus Bashiu has been handed a one-year ban following an act of misconduct during their Ghana Premier League match against Asante Kotoko on February 2, 2025.

Bashiu, a former Equipment Officer of the club, was found guilty of unlawfully entering the inner perimeter and assaulting Kotoko goalkeeper Mohammed Camara. His actions were considered a breach of the sport’s integrity, violating both GFA regulations and the expected behavior of club officials during matches.

The GFA’s disciplinary committee ruled that Bashiu would be banned from all football-related activities for one year, meaning he is prohibited from attending matches or holding any official position within Nsoatreman FC during this time.

The GFA also warned that any future misconduct by Bashiu would result in harsher penalties, reinforcing their commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism in Ghanaian football.

In addition to the ban, Nsoatreman FC was fined GHS 5,000 for allowing Bashiu to gain unauthorized access to the inner perimeter.

Earlier this week, the GFA referred Nsoatreman FC to the Association’s Prosecutor following failed attempts to reverse the club’s withdrawal from the Ghana Premier League.nsoatreman-fc-official-kudus-bashiu-banned-for-a-year-following-misconduct-in-asante-kotoko-match
