Gifty Oware Mensah, the former Deputy Executive Director of the National Service Authority (NSA), has been released after meeting the GH¢10 million bail condition imposed by the Accra High Court in connection with the ongoing National Service Scheme (NSS) financial scandal.
Her release was confirmed by Haruna Mohammed, Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), in an interview with Channel One TV.

According to Mr. Mohammed, Oware Mensah fulfilled all bail requirements, while her former boss, Osei Assibey Antwi, the former Executive Director of the NSA, remains in custody after failing to meet his GH¢800 million bail condition.
Gifty Oware Mensah has pleaded not guilty to five charges, including willfully causing financial loss to the state.
She was formally charged at the Accra High Court on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, following investigations into alleged financial irregularities at the National Service Authority.
