The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service and other stakeholders, has launched a nationwide career development training for senior high school students in Tamale.
The initiative aims to guide students in planning their future and making informed decisions about their career paths to fit into the job market.
Mr. Aaron Kawku Thum, representative from the Ministry of Education, emphasized the importance of guiding students after senior high school to prepare them for future leadership roles.
Ms. Salma Abdulai, Executive Member of the Association of Ghana Industries, commended NUGS for the initiative, urging them to make it an annual event to cover all students nationwide.
Beneficiary students expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for the training, which included handwork skills and entrepreneurship opportunities.
NUGS, formed in 1962, seeks to protect the interests of Ghanaian students, promoting patriotism, nationalism, and advocacy.
The training aligns with NUGS’ mission to ensure a pleasant student experience and prepare youth for Ghana’s future.
