Popular Ghanaian comedian OB Amponsah has arrived in Accra ahead of his much-anticipated comedy special, Greetings From Abroad, scheduled for December 20, 2025, at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
The comedian touched down in the capital to a warm reception from key figures in Ghana’s comedy and creative arts space, including Chief Executive Officer of Africa Arts Network, Kofi Adinkra, road manager and media relations officer for Ghanaian comedians Albert Bondah, and fellow comedians Lekzy Decomic, Papayaw Ataamle, Kojo Pjay, Jerry Ashinyo, and Smile.
The upcoming show coincides with another milestone in OB Amponsah’s comedy career and is expected to deliver an evening of satire, wit and laughter, supported by some of the country’s leading comic acts.
Anticipation for Greetings From Abroad has heightened following the comedian’s recent victory at an international comedy competition in the United States, a feat that has further cemented his growing global appeal.
OB Amponsah previously staged a sold-out show at the Bukom Boxing Arena, filling the 4,000-seat venue and drawing widespread praise for his performance.
Known for weaving humour around politics, relationships and everyday Ghanaian experiences, he remains one of the most influential and relatable voices in the local comedy industry.
