Occasions exhibition targets commercial growth for Ghana’s fashion industry

Organisers of the upcoming Occasions – Black, Red and White Exhibition 2026, say the event is designed not only as a fashion showcase but also as a commercially driven platform to help fashion businesses expand their market reach and connect directly with buyers.

The three-day exhibition, organised by The Domain Ventures, and starts from June 26, will bring together designers, accessory makers, footwear brands, jewellers and fabric producers in a curated marketplace focused on fashion for weddings, corporate functions, naming ceremonies and other special events.

Speaking on Good Afternoon Ghana on Metro TV, Communications and Marketing Officer for The Domain Ventures, Ewura Adepa Adiepena, said the exhibition seeks to provide vendors with greater visibility and direct access to consumers looking for occasion-ready products.

According to her, the initiative is intended to create opportunities for fashion entrepreneurs to market their brands while showcasing the quality and diversity of products available within Ghana’s fashion industry.

“It’s occasions because we are bringing under one umbrella fashion designers who are into clothing, who are into bead making or fashion design clothing with its accessories,” she said.

Organisers say the event has been structured as both a business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) exhibition, allowing brands to engage not only individual shoppers but also stylists, image consultants, event planners and other industry players.

The exhibition’s business model is expected to generate revenue through vendor participation fees, sponsorship partnerships and visitor engagement, while creating a dedicated marketplace for fashion brands that specialise in products for special occasions.

To streamline operations, all vendor applications and payments will be processed through an online registration system, with exhibitors allocated booths based on product categories such as garments, footwear, jewellery, accessories and fabrics.

The organisers believe the format will improve product discovery for visitors and create stronger commercial opportunities for participating businesses.

The exhibition is also expected to provide a platform for emerging designers to showcase their work alongside established brands, giving consumers access to a wide range of curated fashion and accessory options in one location.

The Domain Ventures says the event forms part of efforts to strengthen Ghana’s fashion ecosystem by creating a sustainable marketplace that supports designers, promotes local craftsmanship and drives business growth within the industry.
