Odeneho Kwaku Appiah has won the Ashanti Regional Chairmanship of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), securing a decisive victory with 663 votes.
His main contender, Henry Kwabena Kokofu, polled 271 votes in the contest.
The result gives Odeneho Kwaku Appiah has the mandate to lead the NPP’s regional structures and coordinate the party’s activities across the Ashanti Region.
His election also positions him to continue overseeing the party’s organisational and political affairs at the regional level, including coordination with constituency executives and other party structures.
The NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman position is one of the most influential roles within the party’s regional hierarchy. The chairman is responsible for helping coordinate constituency executives, mobilising party supporters and supervising the implementation of decisions taken by the party’s national and regional leadership.
