One Victim Of Ashaiman Military Brutalities Dies from Injuries – Fix The Country Convener Announces

It is now emerging that one of the victims of the Ashaiman military brutalities has died.

According to sources, the victim died as a result of the serious injuries sustained from the violent actions of the military.

The news was announced by the lead convener of the FixTheCountry Movement, Oliver Mawuse Barker-Vormawor on his social media pages.

The convener of the pressure group who doubles as a private legal practitioner is on a mission to provide legal services to all victims of the brutalities in order to seek justice and fairness for the affected.

“One of the Ashaiman victims has lost his life from injuries sustained,” Oliver Barker Vormawor announced on Thursday, March 16, 2023.

The Military High Command on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 sanctioned an operation for soldiers stormed some areas of Ashaiman to fish out perpetrators of the murder of another officer, Imoro Sherrif, three days earlier.

The trooper in the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) was attacked by some armed robbers, who stabbed him in the arm and bolted with his i-Phone. Six persons including the buyer of the phone have since been arrested by the police.

But there was controversy when the soldiers stormed Ashaiman in an effort to fish out the perpetrators. One hundred and eighty-four persons were picked up with 150 released the following day.

The actions of the Military has been widely condemned by a section of public and many Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
