ORAL unearths compelling evidence of state asset looting – Ablakwa

Chairman of Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has disclosed that the team has gathered substantial evidence of looted state assets by appointees of the erstwhile Akufo-Addo administration.

Mr. Ablakwa said the collected evidence would soon be presented to President John Dramani Mahama for further action.

The team, which was set up by President Mahama, comprises Mr Nathan Kofi Boakye, Mr Martin Kpebu, Mr Raymond Archer, and Mr Daniel Domelevo, with a mandate to investigate and compile evidence of state capture and asset misappropriation.

Engaging the media in the Eastern Region, the North Tongu lawmaker expressed confidence in the team’s progress, describing their work as successful, and affirming their commitment to holding those responsible accountable.

President Mahama has explained that the Operation Recover All Loot initiative is not a witch hunt but rather an initiative that calls for a concerted effort to tackle corruption.

Mahama has also emphasized that the team’s purpose is only to gather evidence and hand them over to relevant authorities for investigations and prosecution, and not to replace established state institutions clothed with the mandate to investigate and prosecute crimes.
