Ghana head coach Otto Addo has announced his squad for the upcoming international friendly matches against Japan and South Korea later this month. The games form part of Ghana’s preparations ahead of future competitive fixtures, offering the coach an opportunity to assess emerging talents.

The squad announcement comes with several notable absentees, as Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, Thomas Partey, and Alexander Djiku will miss the friendly encounters due to injuries and club commitments. Their absence has opened the door for new and returning players to stake their claim for a place in the team.

Among the new faces are Prince Kwabena Adu, Kelvin Nkrumah, and Prince Osei Owusu, all earning their first senior national team call-ups. The trio’s inclusion reflects Otto Addo’s commitment to blending experience with youth as he rebuilds the Black Stars for the future.

Striker Prince Kwabena Adu, who plays in the Czech Republic and previously featured for Bechem United, has been rewarded for his impressive performances at club level. His consistent goal-scoring form has caught the attention of the technical team, and he will now look to make his mark on the international stage.

Kelvin Nkrumah of Medeama SC also receives his first call-up, bringing pace, creativity, and youthful energy to Ghana’s attacking options. His inclusion adds depth to the wings, an area Otto Addo has been keen to strengthen ahead of upcoming qualifiers.

Germany-born forward Prince Osei Owusu, currently playing for CF Montreal, is another exciting addition. The 27-year-old previously played for Toronto FC, where he scored nine goals in 31 appearances. Owusu began his professional career with VfB Stuttgart’s reserve team in 2015 before moving to TSG Hoffenheim, where he netted 17 goals over two seasons. He later featured for Arminia Bielefeld and TSV 1860 Munich, showcasing his versatility and experience across multiple leagues.
