A 66-year-old palm wine tapper has been killed on his farm in Daboase after a dispute over a missing pipeline.
Police say the victim, identified as Samuel Kwofie, also known as Ghanaman, had hired a 48-year-old man popularly called Akuffo Addo to assist him on the farm.
According to investigators, the two men got into an argument when Kwofie accused his worker of stealing a pipeline used for tapping palm wine. Kwofie reportedly threatened to have him arrested.
The confrontation turned violent, and Akuffo Addo allegedly slashed his employer’s throat. Kwofie died on the spot.
The suspect has been arrested and is in the custody of the Daboase police as investigations continue.
