Parliament has donated GH₵100,000 to help cover the medical treatment of victims injured in the recent stampede at the El-Wak Sports Stadium in Accra.

Speaker of Parliament Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin said the gesture reflects the House’s concern for the victims and its commitment to stand with citizens affected by the tragedy.

Mr Bagbin led a delegation of parliamentary leaders to the 37 Military Hospital, where many of the injured are receiving care. The group visited the victims and their families, offering words of comfort and assurance of Parliament’s continued support.

He described the donation as a token of Parliament’s solidarity and a reminder that the wellbeing of Ghanaians remains a shared responsibility.
