The family of the late Apostle Dr Kwadwo Sarfo has formally informed Parliament of the final arrangements for his funeral, with burial and memorial events scheduled to take place later this year.
A delegation led by the head of the Kantanka family, Sarah Adwoa Sarfo, together with relatives and church leaders, paid a courtesy call on the Rt Hon Speaker of Parliament to present details of the funeral programme.
The family announced that Apostle Dr Sarfo will be buried on 30th July 2026 at Gomoa Mpota in the Central Region.
A national funeral service will be held at Independence Square on 31st July, while a second memorial service is scheduled for a week later at Heroes Park in Kumasi.
During the meeting, the Speaker paid tribute to the late religious leader and industrialist, describing him as a man whose contributions touched many sectors of national life.
He praised Apostle Dr Sarfo’s work in philanthropy, religion, technology and agriculture, and highlighted his commitment to improving the lives of others.
The Speaker also commended the founder of the Kantanka Group and the Saviour Church of Ghana for his dedication to national development and human welfare.
He further welcomed the church’s decision to establish a museum in honour of the late Apostle, describing it as a fitting tribute to a man who used his talents to serve both God and country.
The Speaker assured the family of Parliament’s full support and participation in the funeral activities, saying Ghana had lost a rare and visionary leader whose legacy would continue to inspire future generations.
He expressed gratitude for Apostle Dr Sarfo’s life and achievements, noting that his impact on faith, innovation and service to humanity would not be forgotten.
The family thanked the Speaker for the warm reception and called on Ghanaians to join them in celebrating the life and legacy of the late Apostle Dr Kwadwo Sarfo.
