If your Sunday plans usually revolve around church and a nap, Big Boys City Lounge & Nightclub wants to give you a third option — and it comes with a bowl of fufu.
The Kwashieman, Bus Stop nightspot is set to officially launch its “BBC Special Fufu” experience this Sunday, September 13, with doors opening bright and early at 8am. And this isn’t a one-off — it’s kicking off a new weekly tradition, running every Sunday going forward.
Branded “New Taste. New Experience. Same Culture,” the launch promises to blend hearty local cuisine with the lounge’s signature nightlife energy — proof that fufu and good vibes aren’t mutually exclusive. Behind the decks and mic for the day are DJ Lazrus, DJ Redchoo, MC Posterbwoy, and MC Don Flex, bringing the entertainment to match the appetite.
Sunday “chop bars” and after-church hangouts are a beloved Ghanaian ritual, but Big Boys City Lounge is putting a nightlife spin on the tradition — turning a classic midday meal into a recurring weekend event complete with music, atmosphere, and a reason to linger past lunch.
The BBC Special Fufu experience launches Sunday, September 13, 2026, at 8am at Big Boys City Lounge & Nightclub, Kwashieman, Bus Stop, and will continue every Sunday after. For reservations, call 053 242 1712.
If you’re looking for somewhere different to spend your Sunday, this might just be the spot to add to your weekend rotation.
