PHOTOS: Ignite Media’s Pink Clinic draws crowd for breast cancer awareness

Hundreds of people gathered at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly forecourt on Friday for a free breast cancer screening organised by Ignite Media as part of its annual Pink Clinic Festival. The event marked the climax of the company’s month-long breast cancer awareness campaign in October.

Participants, including women and men of various ages, took advantage of the opportunity to check their health status and receive education from medical professionals on the importance of early detection and regular screening.

Speaking at the event, some breast cancer survivors shared their personal journeys, encouraging others to seek help early and not to lose hope. One survivor who spoke with Ignite Media’s Ernestina Afake said her recovery was made possible through timely diagnosis and support from family and health workers.

The Pink Clinic Festival has become one of Ignite Media’s key community initiatives aimed at promoting public health and raising awareness about breast cancer. Organisers said the annual event will continue to expand to reach more communities across the country.
