Jayana spreads Love on Valentine day

Award winning gospel musician Jemima Annor-Yeboah, known in music circles as Jayana, marked this year’s Valentine’s Day by donating clothes and other essentials to children and mothers at Dome, Accra.

Through her Jayana Help The Needy Foundation, the singer spent Saturday, February 14, 2026, with families at Dome K Boat, opposite the Freemata Shopping and Pharmacy Centre, sharing items and interacting with beneficiaries.

The event drew mothers and children from the surrounding community, many of whom expressed gratitude for the support.

The foundation distributed children’s and women’s clothing, ladies shoes, baby sneakers, as well as baby tops and pants. For many of the mothers, the gesture went beyond material support, it was a reminder that they were seen and remembered on a day often associated with romantic celebrations.

Speaking to the media, Jayana said she felt fulfilled being able to extend love to the less privileged, especially on a day set aside to celebrate love.

“On a special day like February 14, when we need to spread the love, I saw it essential to donate these clothes to kids around Dome in Accra,” she said. She also expressed appreciation to individuals abroad whose support made the donation possible.

Jayana Help The Needy Foundation is a non profit charity dedicated to supporting underprivileged people in society through periodic donations and outreach programmes.

Jayana, born Jemima Annor-Yeboah, is a contemporary gospel musician known for her soul lifting ministry. She is the second daughter of the late Bishop Dr Augustine Annor-Yeboah, former Chairman of the Christ Apostolic Church and Founder of Christian Praise International Centre.

She first gained national attention as a contestant in the maiden edition of the Stars of the Future, where she competed alongside notable names including Irene Logan and Efya.

Over the years, she has released several songs that resonate with gospel music lovers, including Victory, I Believe, Who You Are, Awurade, Gye W’ayeyi, He Reigns, Celebrate, Faithful is Our God and No Fears.

For the families in Dome, however, this Valentine’s Day will be remembered not for flowers or chocolates, but for a simple act of kindness that brought relief and smiles to their homes.
