Police arrest pastor accused of using okada riders for rituals at Budumburam

Police have arrested Major Wisdom Nutsugah, the Senior Pastor of Graceland Sanctuary at Budumburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, for allegedly attempting to use a group of okada riders for rituals.

Nutsugah was picked up along with two junior pastors after six riders accused them of kidnapping and threatening to harm them during a meeting at the pastor’s home.

According to police reports, the pastor had recently bought motorbikes for the riders but claimed they were not bringing in enough sales. He allegedly invited them to his house to discuss the issue, but when they arrived, they were locked in a dark room, forced to undress and threatened.

The victims told police that the pastor instructed one of his assistants to bring out a pot containing toffees from a secret room. They were allegedly forced to eat the toffees under threat of harm.

One of the riders managed to escape and alerted the police, who rescued the others and arrested the pastor and his aides.

The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
