Police launch manhunt for Adabraka jewelry shop robbers

The Ghana Police Service are investigating a gang of armed robbers who attacked a jewelry shop at Adabraka Market in Accra on Saturday, November 2.

The Police assured the public in a statement that it is capable of apprehending the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

Four masked and heavily armed men attacked a parked red Toyota Corolla, firing shots to disperse the crowd.

They made off with large sacks of cash, fleeing in a Toyota Highlander.

“The robbers approached the car, guns drawn, and began firing shots into the air. They grabbed the bags of money and loaded them into their getaway vehicle,” eyewitnesses described the scene.

No injuries or fatalities were reported. However, this is the second similar incident in the area, raising safety concerns.

Videos of the robbery have circulated on social media, showing the gunmen’s coordinated movements.
