Police offer GHC20K bounty for information on suspects threatening election violence

The Ghana Police Service has announced a GHC20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of individuals from Obuasi who have been threatening violence during the upcoming 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The suspects, including Fuseini Yahuza, Bernard Ahedor, Simon, Basit, Musa Yakubu alias Agya Musah, and their accomplices, were declared wanted on November 15, 2024, after a viral video surfaced showing them threatening violence.

The Police are urging the public to support their ongoing operation by providing credible information that could lead to the suspects’ arrest.

“We urge the general public to remain calm since the Police are committed to ensuring that we live in peaceful, secure and orderly communities,” the statement read.

“Anyone with credible information may contact the Police through a dedicated phone number 0547927272,” the police urged the general public.

The Ghana Police Service reassures the public of their commitment to maintaining peace and order during the elections.
