Margaret Ansei has been named Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA) Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Margaret Ansei, also referred to as Magoo, is a renowned public servant with a wealth of development and governance expertise. She previously served as the Eastern Region’s Suhum Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).
The government has trust in her to lead the GEA’s efforts to support micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) nationwide, as evidenced by her appointment, which went into effect on January 27, 2025.
In her role as Acting CEO, Ms. Ansei is expected to carry on the GEA’s mission of empowering small businesses by means of creative projects, programs that build capacity, and financial assistance to boost economic expansion and generate job opportunities.
Since MSMEs are the foundation of Ghana’s economy, the Ghana Enterprises Agency is tasked with fostering their growth.
Margaret Ansei is well-positioned to lead the organization in achieving its goal of encouraging entrepreneurship and propelling the expansion of small businesses across the country thanks to her vast experience in local government and community development.
