President John Dramani Mahama has paid tribute to Daddy Lumba, whose passing has left a void in the hearts of Ghanaians everywhere.
“I have learnt with deep sorrow the passing of Ghanaian music legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, affectionately known as Daddy Lumba,” Mahama said in an official statement.
The president underscored Lumba’s extraordinary talent, noting that his “unmatched musical genius provided the soundtrack to our lives, carrying us through various phases of life.”
He went on to acknowledge that while “the beats to his memorable songs may have died down,” Lumba’s “enduring legacy will echo through the ages.”
Mahama appealed to the nation to join him in supporting Lumba’s family during this difficult time.
“On behalf of the Government of Ghana, I extend heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones for this irreplaceable loss,” he said, urging Ghanaians to remember the joy and unity his music inspired.
