Prof Mohammed Muniru Iddrisu takes over from Seidu Al-Hassan as UDS Vice Chancellor

Prof Mohammed Muniru Iddrisu has officially assumed office as Vice Chancellor of the University for Development Studies, promising an open, inclusive and transparent style of leadership.

He took over from Prof Seidu Al-Hassan during a handover ceremony held at the university’s Central Administration Block on the Tamale Campus on Monday.

In his farewell address, Prof Al-Hassan urged his successor to remain guided by integrity and uphold the university’s core values, saying principled leadership would be key to the institution’s continued progress.

Responding after taking office, Prof Iddrisu assured staff, students and other stakeholders that his administration would operate an open door policy built on consultation, transparency and collaboration.

He said he was committed to working closely with all members of the university community to promote the continued growth and development of the University for Development Studies.
