Renowned Ghanaian actor Vincent McCauley passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024, following surgery for a brain tumor in South Africa. he was popularly recognized for featuring “Things We Do For Love” and “YOLO” with other actors, which included Adjetey Annan. A memorial service was held at the Soul Clinic International, Cantonments, Accra, on February 14th, 2024.

Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah was the deputy minister of finance and also a Member of Parliament from 2021 to 2024 for Ejisu, in the Ashanti Region. It all began at the University of Ghana, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with Philosophy, a Bachelor of Art Degree (Law) LLB in 2011, and a Professional Law Certificate from the Ghana School of Law in 2013. He was admitted to the Ghana Bar in 2013. John Kumah died at age 45 after a short illness. Kumah’s burial took place on May 18, 2024, in Onwe, his hometown in the Ejisu in the Ashanti Region, which was also the location where his one-week observation ceremony was held.

She was later buried in 9th March 2024 at Ejisu Abankro in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Known for her delectable waakye, she succumbed to a short illness at the University of Ghana Medical Centre in Accra on Wednesday, January 3, where she later died. Her waakye stand was a cherished spot for both locals and visitors, known not only for its delicious offerings but also for the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by Auntie Muni herself. She was later buried in her hometown in Tamale, where she was laid to rest in accordance with Islamic rites on January 4th, 2024.

The 87-year-old, according to reports, died on Thursday, January 4. She played a pivotal role in Ghana’s photography industry, leaving an indelible mark as the nation’s first female professional photographer. She is widely known for her self-portraits, especially the ones she took before an event as a way to promote her business from the 1950s to 1970s. She covered a wide variety of items, including a visit to Ghana by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip of Britain; Ghanaian royalty; market women; prominent lawyers and other professionals of her era; numerous corporate and private events; and she also did some work for the nation’s First President, Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah. She was later buried on March 23rd, 2024, at Winneba in the Central Region.

Ghanaian actor, Osuman Idrees, popularly known as Yogot, from the popular comedy series Junka Town, died on the morning of Tuesday, June 11.

Judge Abeka, Yogot’s colleague actor in the Junka Town series, confirmed the sad news in an interview with sister station Connect FM in Takoradi on Tuesday, June 11. According to him, Yogot never showed any sign of illness, as he looked very strong and healthy but only reported about a boil near his jaw.

As a Muslim, Yoghurt was buried the same day he died, Tuesday, 11th June, at the Kwesimintsim Islamic Cemetery, as customs of the religion demand.

Mrs. Trebah made history as the first female appointed as substantive Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), serving from April 2013 to January 2017.

Additionally, she held various senior executive positions, including roles at Ashanti Goldfields Company Ltd., where she began as their first female underground exploration geologist; Newmont Ghana Gold Ltd., where she served as head of Corporate Communications; and Mobile Telecommunications Network (MTN), where she worked as head of Corporate Service.

Akua Donkor passed away on 28 October 2024 at the Ridge Hospital in Accra, where she was receiving medical treatment for an undisclosed condition after experiencing illness during her campaign activities ahead of preparations towards the 2024 Ghanaian general election.
