QNET commends CID for rescuing victims of fraudulent operation misusing its name

QNET, a global lifestyle and wellness company, has commended the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service for rescuing 110 victims from a fraudulent operation that was falsely conducted in its name.

In a statement sighted by Metro TV, QNET said it strongly condemned the criminal activities uncovered by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the CID at Kuntunse, where nationals from Ghana, Cameroon, and Côte d’Ivoire were rescued.

The company said it fully supports ongoing investigations into the incident and reiterated that it is a legitimate direct selling company not involved in human trafficking, recruitment, or fraudulent activities.

“QNET is a legitimate global lifestyle and wellness company that sells its products through a regulated direct selling business model. The company is not involved in human trafficking or fraudulent recruitment and denounces any attempt by criminal networks to exploit its brand for illegal purposes,” the statement said.

Mr. Biram Fall, Deputy Chairman of QNET Sub-Saharan Africa, commended the CID for its swift intervention and reaffirmed the company’s cooperation with law enforcement agencies.

“We share the CID’s commitment to protecting lives and restoring public trust,” he said. “QNET operates on integrity, transparency, and education, and we remain relentless in exposing and dismantling fraudulent networks misusing our name.”

QNET said the incident reinforces its longstanding warning about individuals and groups misusing its name and products to deceive the public through fake job offers, travel opportunities, and investment schemes.

“These criminal syndicates often pose as QNET distributors to lure unsuspecting victims, tarnishing the reputation of legitimate businesses and harming vulnerable individuals,” the statement added.

The company said it continues to collaborate with Ghanaian authorities, including the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) and the CID, to combat fraudulent activities and protect consumers.

It cited recent joint initiatives, including the establishment of a QNET Compliance Office in Accra, inaugurated by COP Lydia Donkor, to serve as a liaison with regulators and security agencies.

QNET also highlighted the QNET–EOCO Anti-Scam Campaign, which seeks to raise public awareness on fraudulent schemes through education and community outreach.

QNET urged the public to be vigilant and verify any business or recruitment offers claiming affiliation with the company. It stressed that QNET does not offer employment, travel visas, or overseas opportunities.

Members of the public who encounter suspected scam activities are encouraged to report to QNET or EOCO through their official hotlines, WhatsApp numbers, or email addresses.

“QNET remains committed to working with Ghanaian authorities to eradicate fraudulent schemes, protect consumers, and preserve the integrity of legitimate direct selling in the country,” the statement concluded.

Established in 1998, QNET operates in more than 25 countries, offering products in personal care, home living, wellness, and lifestyle categories. The company’s mission, Raise Yourself To Help Mankind (RYTHM), promotes entrepreneurship and personal growth through ethical direct selling.
