The management of the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo), has explained the cause of the recent power outages being experienced in parts of the country.
Some parts of Ghana have been experiencing power cuts since Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
In a public notice on Thursday, October 26, GRIDCo said there is a limited gas supply to Tema leading to a shortage of 550MW at peak time.
According to the company, the shortage is the cause of the power outage in some parts of the country. .
“The inconvenience caused is deeply regretted,” GRIDCo apologized in the statement.
