The dispute in one of the four main paramountcy in the Mfantseman Municipality is causing fear and panic among the residents in the area.
The residents and the Traditional Council of Anomabo are calling on the government and the Minister for Chieftaincy to investigate and bring peace to the current Anomabo Chieftaincy dispute.
The dispute that started years ago has become life-threatening since last week.
Some people living in the Anomabo community say the fear and panic are heightening because of how some unknown men have invaded the community with guns ahead of the installation of Mr. Francis Ebo Mensah as Nana Okaa.
The Anomabo Traditional Council has also charged the government and the Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Stephen Asamoah Boateng to step in to resolve this issue after denying Mr Francis Ebo Mensah and the Fritsi Anona Family as not royals of the Anomabo Traditional Area.
Nana Mmbroba Dabo III, the Paramount Queen Mother also pleaded with the Chieftaincy Minister to intervene and bring peace to the community while imploring Francis Ebo Mensah to withdraw the military he has deployed in the area.
“Please ensure Anomabo chieftaincy disputes end and dignity is brought to the whole chieftaincy in Ghana under your tenure in office,” Nana Mmbroba Dabo III said.
