The Director of Cyber Security at the National Communications Authority (NCA), Mr. Kwadwo Gyamfi Osafo-Maafo, has been terminated from his position, effective immediately.
A letter signed by the Chief Director of the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Alexander Yaw Arphul, stated that the sector minister Samuel Nartey George terminated Mr. Osafo-Maafo, who is the son of former Senior Minister Yaw Osafo Maafo’s appointment as Director of Cyber Security.
Mr. Osafo-Maafo is directed to hand over his duties to the Acting Director-General of the National Communications Authority.
Sam George extended his gratitude to Mr. Osafo-Maafo for his service to the nation, and in line with his appointment letter, he will receive three months’ salary in lieu of notice.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovation (MoCDTI) has initiated a strategic human resource restructuring.
This move is In a bid to optimize efficiency and effectiveness and also in alignment with President Mahama’s vision to reset Ghana’s governance framework.
According to a media advisory issued by the Ministry, the Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George has requested the CVs of all Directors and senior management staff, signaling an impending realignment.
