Samuel Takyi, Victor Kuwornu to fight for National Lightweight championship title December 30

Ghana’s bronze medalist at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games Samuel Takyi alias “The Golden Ring Warrior” is scheduled to take on Victor Kuwornu in what is probably the biggest bout to conclude the year.

Both boxers will head to the Bukom Boxing Arena with an eye on the National Lightweight championship title.

Both boxers are in their best forms and unapologetically expressed their bragging rights without fear or holding back.

During the launch, Takyi proclaimed he is currently “the best lightweight champion in Ghana”. In response, Kuwornu said, “the ring will tell”.

Ghanaians and boxing lovers are about to witness the sweet science of boxing from these talented boxers.

Speaking on Metro TV’s Sports Direct, Samuel Takyi said he believes this is the time to prove to the world that a new King is born and emphasized his readiness ahead of a night that promises to be fun for boxing lovers in the country.

“I am the new king on the block and l believe this is the time to prove to Ghanaians, Africans, and everybody in the world that I’m the best,” says the 22 years old rising boxing sensation.

‘’ Victor is a good boxer; I know that because out of 12 bouts he has lost just one which shows he is great in the ring. I have only three bouts on my cards but I know I will beat him come 30th December 2022. So I admonish’ all my fans to come and support me’’ Samuel Takyi said.

The bout under the auspices of the Bazooka Promotions and Management is expected to draw both the young and old to Bukom Boxing Arena on a night that promises to make or dethrone A king.
